Warranty

Limited Warranty

 All sofas come with a 1 year limited lifetime warranty. For the initial year after purchase, United Canada will pay the reasonable and customary labour rates to repair or replace the defective parts including the shipping costs required for repair and/or replacement, at no charge to the customer. 

 Frames 

Frames are covered under a limited lifetime warranty, under which if there are any damages noted within the first year the frame will be replaced in full (pending an investigation to confirm the damages were not a result of excessive or unwarranted wear and tear). After one year, the frame warranty only covers replacement parts. 

Springs 

Springs are covered under a limited lifetime warranty, under which if there are any damages noted within the first year related to metal fatigue and/or loosened spring clips the springs will be replaced in full (pending an investigation to confirm the damages were not a result of excessive or unwarranted wear and tear). After one year, the spring warranty only covers replacement parts. 

Foam 

Foam is covered for 5 years under a limited warranty. Please note that seat cushion cores, cushion tops, backs, and armrests will flatten and confirm to the user’s shape with prolonged use, this is to be expected of foam products and does not warrant damage covered by this warranty. Regular fluffing of these products will help prolong the vibrancy of these products. After one year, United Canada will only be responsible for the replacement of cushion cores only. The customer will be responsible for all costs related to labour, packaging, shipping and transportation. 

Fabric 

Fabric is covered for 1 year under a limited warranty. Damages covered include seam slippage, fraying and dye transfers (not caused by excessive use and/or wear and tear). 

Majestic Fabrics 

Majestic fabrics are covered for 5 years under a limited warranty. Damages covered include seam slippage, fraying and dye transfers (not caused by excessive use and/or wear and tear). 

Leather 

Leather is covered by a 2 year limited warranty. As leather is a natural product, each hide will reflect its own individuality, and some variations in the shade and tone of the leathers is to be expected. Leather is also prone to nicks, scratches, and wrinkles which all occur in genuine leather. These characteristics are in no way considered to be a defect. 

Please note that the above warranties do not cover the following: 

• Heavy soiling or abuse 
• Improper or unapproved cleaning methods
• Fading due to direct sunlight exposure 
• Leather that is exposed to a dry environment 
• Protective finishes
• Tears, pilling, fading or shrinking 
• Flattening of nap on velvets and velvet types since by their nature, these fabrics are of soft texture and mark more readily than most fabrics
